Chapter 722: Power Of Creation
Chapter 722: Power Of Creation
Unfortunately for her, she never got the opportunity to continue speaking.
Because in the very next second, Ivy suddenly appeared directly in front of her.
A terrifying pressure exploded outward.
Before Haku could even react properly, Ivy’s fist slammed brutally into her stomach.
Boom!
The impact was so violent that Haku’s entire body flew backward before crashing heavily against the ground.
Haku coughed violently, her breathing becoming chaotic as unbearable pain spread throughout her abdomen.
Her eyes widened in complete disbelief.
For a brief moment, she genuinely thought one of the stronger superior beings like Silas or Jade had attacked her instead.
But no.
That monstrous strength had come from Ivy alone.
Ivy slowly walked toward Haku.
Haku struggled to breathe while lying on the cracked ground, one hand clutching her stomach desperately as pain spread throughout her entire body.
Ivy stopped directly in front of her before lowering her gaze coldly.
"Do you not want to continue speaking anymore?" Ivy asked quietly. "Weren’t you talking so confidently just moments ago?"
Haku’s chest rose and fell violently. Even though fear had already begun creeping into her heart, her arrogance still refused to disappear completely.
She glared at Ivy hatefully before cursing through gritted teeth, "Who do you think you are? Some kind of unique existence?"
Blood suddenly spilled out from the corner of her lips as she continued bitterly, "Let me tell you something. There are thousands of superior beings far stronger than you."
The moment those words left her mouth, Ivy’s expression darkened slightly.
Without warning, she slapped Haku brutally across the face.
Smack!
The force behind the strike snapped Haku’s head sideways, and fresh blood sprayed onto the ground.
Ivy stared down at her emotionlessly before speaking again.
"Why don’t you continue saying that we are shameless?" she asked coldly. "Right now, I am giving you the opportunity to fight me alone."
Although Ivy looked calm on the surface, only she herself understood the terrifying rage boiling inside her heart.
After all, Haku was one of the people whose daggers had inflicted the most severe injuries upon Silas back then.
Every time Ivy remembered Silas lying there drenched in blood, struggling between life and death, hatred violently clawed through her chest.
Slowly, Ivy reached down and pulled out one of Haku’s daggers.
The moment Haku recognized her own weapon inside Ivy’s hand, her eyes flickered strangely. Then she suddenly chuckled mockingly despite her miserable state.
"Do you truly think my dagger will listen to you?" she sneered weakly.
The next second, she raised her trembling hand slightly and chanted coldly, "Come back."
Instantly, the dagger inside Ivy’s hand trembled violently before flying straight back into Haku’s palm.
Seeing this, Ivy merely arched a brow slightly.
Meanwhile, Haku laughed arrogantly.
"What now?" she mocked. "Even if you steal my weapons, I can simply create more."
As soon as she finished speaking, another dagger materialized directly inside her hand.
"This is the power of creation," Haku declared proudly despite coughing blood. "You fake superior beings can never truly understand it."
Unfortunately for her, the next moment, Ivy calmly extended her own hand forward.
A dagger instantly materialized above her palm.
It looked almost identical to Haku’s weapon, except this one appeared even sturdier and far more dangerous.
The moment Haku saw that scene, her pupils shrank violently.
"No...!" she blurted out in disbelief. "How is this possible?"
Ivy chuckled softly.
Then, in the very next second, thousands of glowing daggers suddenly appeared behind her like a terrifying storm of death.
Every single dagger floated silently in the air while radiating murderous intent so dense that even Jerry’s expression changed drastically nearby.
Haku’s breathing became uneven. Fear finally surfaced clearly inside her eyes.
Then Ivy gently moved one finger.
Whoosh!
Instantly, countless daggers shot forward simultaneously.
The speed was so terrifying that Haku could barely react before several blades pierced directly through her body.
Blood exploded everywhere.
Haku’s eyes widened in absolute despair as she looked down at the dagger lodged terrifyingly close to her heart.
Her body trembled violently.
She could not comprehend what had just happened.
In her eyes, Ivy had always been nothing more than an inferior imitation, a fake superior being unworthy of comparison. Yet now, that same person had utterly crushed her with overwhelming ease.
The reality was so horrifying that Haku almost wanted to deny it completely.
Nearby, Jerry’s expression finally became genuinely serious.
For the first time, he realized they had severely underestimated Ivy’s true strength.
That woman was not merely strong.
She was monstrously powerful.
At this point, she could likely overpower nearly any superior being she encountered.
Just as Jerry prepared to focus entirely on escaping, a terrifying pressure suddenly appeared behind him.
Before he could even turn properly... Slash!
A sharp pain erupted directly through his chest.
Jerry froze.
A mouthful of blood slowly spilled from the corner of his lips as he lowered his head in disbelief. A blade had pierced directly through his heart.
Behind him, Silas calmly stood there with an icy expression.
"I have been wanting to do this for a very long time," Silas muttered coldly.
The moment Jerry collapsed lifelessly onto the ground, Ivy slowly walked toward him.
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
Then suddenly... Smack!
She slapped his corpse so hard that his body rolled several meters across the ground.
Despite watching someone die directly before her, Ivy barely showed any emotional reaction anymore.
Perhaps it was because this life had already forced her to kill far too many people. Death itself no longer carried the same emotional weight it once did.
Seeing Ivy’s terrifying coldness, nobody nearby commented on her actions.
They all understood.
This was the frustration and hatred Ivy had suppressed deep inside herself for an incredibly long time.
Eventually, after venting some of her anger, Ivy finally exhaled slowly before chuckling coldly.
"These superior beings truly love pretending to be victims," she remarked mockingly. "They think they lost because we outnumbered them, yet they are the same people who constantly hunt others in groups."
Her eyes then shifted toward the corpses.
"Do not destroy their bodies completely," she ordered calmly. "I want them intact for experiments."
